Faith Chevannes

The ’Place Your Bets’ series depicts wild birds seen all around us in the UK, many of them are on the red list of endangered birds. The list is quite worrying and includes species which we would often consider as ‘common’ such as starlings, house martins and herring gulls. Images are made using drypoint intaglio print, printing real feathers, original photographs, and acrylic paint onto real playing cards

Faith Chevanes is recognised Nationally and has been included in the London Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2019, 2022 and 2023), The Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, Delamore Arts, South West Academy of Arts, Bath Society of Artists, Blackswan Arts, Sky Arts ‘Portrait Artist of the Week’ winner and The Ruth Borchard Self Portrait Prize. She is a Bristol Royal West Academy (RWA) artist member.
